Article: Not Everything Should Be Everywhere

Not Everything Should Be Everywhere
Not Everything Should Be Everywhere
At Project 6•S7N, we do not believe good design needs to be endlessly reproduced.
Some pieces should exist for a moment.
Some should stay.
That thinking sits behind the way we are building our clothing collections.
Rather than creating one large range and filling it with constant variations, we are taking a more considered approach. Fewer designs. Better thought through. Better made. More recognisably Project 6•S7N.
THE LIMITED RANGES
Our limited ranges are exactly that.
Each design will be capped at 67 units.
Not 67 per colour.
Not 67 per size.
67 pieces in total.
Once they are gone, they are gone.
The number of designs within each range will vary. Some releases may include two designs. Others may include three or four. What will not change is the limit.
Every design is created to feel individual, considered and worth owning.
We are not interested in creating mass product, chasing endless volume or repeating the same graphic season after season.
These are small runs by design.
You either get one or you miss it.
And that is part of what makes them special.
Members of the Pink Dot Cycling Club will receive early access to limited releases before they are made available more widely.
For us, that feels right.
The people closest to the community should get the first opportunity to own what comes next.
PERMANENT
Not everything needs to disappear.
Alongside our limited releases sits PERMANENT.
PERMANENT is our ongoing collection of Project 6•S7N clothing. Pieces that can remain in the range, evolve over time and continue to represent the visual identity of the brand.
They are not limited to 67 units.
That is the only compromise.
There is no reduction in quality.
No reduction in thought.
No reduction in detail.
No reduction in how much we care about the final product.
PERMANENT is not the basic range.
It is not the cheaper range.
It is simply the collection that stays.
The same standards apply. The same attention to fabric, fit, print, finish and detail applies. The same expectation that anything carrying the Project 6•S7N name should feel distinct.
Limited does not mean better.
Permanent does not mean ordinary.
They are simply two different ways of releasing design.
WHAT WILL BE LIMITED?
The limited ranges will focus on the pieces where design can carry the strongest identity.
That means T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts.
These will be the canvas for our numbered concept ranges, graphic ideas and seasonal stories.
Other Project 6•S7N clothing will sit outside that 67-unit structure.
Over time, that will include:
- Jackets
- Gilets
- Hats
- Caps
- Shorts
- Technical riding pieces
These products may evolve, change and occasionally disappear, but they will not form part of the 67-unit limited release model.
This gives us space to treat each category properly rather than forcing every product into the same system.
DESIGNED WITH INTENT
The point of limiting a design to 67 is not to manufacture hype.
It is to protect the idea.
We want each range to feel like a moment in the Project 6•S7N story.
A design should mean something when it is released. It should belong to a particular collection, idea, journey or period of the brand.
Once that chapter closes, we move on.
That means we can keep creating rather than endlessly repeating.
It also means that, over time, some Project 6•S7N pieces will become genuinely difficult to find.
That is exactly how we want it.
LOOKING TOWARDS 2027
Our first cycling range is due for released in early 2027.
This will begin the next stage of the Project 6•S7N clothing story, taking the same approach into cycling-specific apparel.
Considered design.
Strong identity.
Small releases where it makes sense.
And no pressure to create more simply because more could be sold.
OWN YOUR STORY
Clothing should do more than fill a rail.
It should carry memory.
A ride.
A place.
A season.
A friendship.
A moment.
That is why some of our designs will only exist 67 times.
And why others will become part of PERMANENT.
Different collections.
The same standards.
The same attention to detail.
The same belief that what we make should always feel worth owning.
